1.1. ensuring the development, implementation and evaluation of the MA component of the Teacher
Education Program

1.2. coordinating the process of thesis completion
1.3. preparing, and updating, documents to guide the process of thesis writing


2. Professional Preparation I: Pre-service teacher education program
2.1. ensuring the development, implementation and evaluation of the teacher education certificate program
2.2. identifying, and liaising, with partner schools

3. Professional Preparation II: Internship in Turkey
3.1. assessing the suitability, and selection, of schools for internship
3.2. placing student-teachers to schools for internship
3.3. planning and implementing the internship program in Ankara
3.4 planning and implementing the academic visits in other cities (─░zmir,
─░stanbul, Tarsus, Erzurum) in Turkey
3.5. accompanying student-teachers during internship, monitoring and evaluating the internship processes, and collecting feedback


4. Professional Preparation III: Internship abroad
4.1. making arrangements for the preparation for internship abroad
4.2. placing student-teachers to schools for internship
4.3. making arrangements for preparation, and administration, of
internship abroad at a partner university
4.4. making arrangements for preparation, and administration, of internship abroad at partner schools

4.5. accompanying students during internship, monitoring and evaluating the internship processes, and collecting feedback

5. International Baccalaureate (IB) Teaching and Learning Certificate Authorisation Processes
5.1. administering the IB recognition, review and renewal procedures/processes
5.2. preparing documentation needed for recognition, review and renewal
5.3. designing teacher education courses in line with the criteria given by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO)
5.4. exploring capacity building opportunities, and liaising with the IBO as necessary

6. Communication and collaboration with stakeholders
6.1. establishing and ensuring mechanism for adherence to, and administration of, the Council of Higher Education rules and regulations related to graduate programs, and teacher education programs
6.2. developing, and implementing, partner school mentor teacher training programs, as necessary
6.3. organizing seminars/conferences focusing on IB schools in Turkey
6.4. hosting visitors from schools who intend to meet our graduates for hiring purposes
6.5. ensuring the organization of field-trips for high school students, as necessary
6.6. preparing, updating, and sharing online guidelines forms and handbooks for faculty members
6.7. preparing, updating, and sharing online guidelines forms and handbooks for student-teachers

7. Program publicity and student recruitment
7.1. administering the processes needed for student recruitment
7.2. ensuring program publicity and promotion
7.3. ensuring preparation, and maintenance of program websites

Other
-selecting faculty members to teach in the Teacher Education Unit, and plan their teaching load, including other responsibilities
-planing, and managing, Teacher Education Program budget
-responsible to the Graduate School of Education
