Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education

Bilkent University invites applications for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education at the Department of Educational Sciences with an expected start date of September 2, 2019. This is a full-time position with multi-year renewal, and promotion potential, contingent on successful review.

Requirements: Applicant must have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, and an earned doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants who have publication record in reputable journals, and teacher education experience. Having a teaching certificate, and/or teaching experience in secondary school context will be an asset.

Responsibilities include teaching MA & PhD level courses, supervising student-teachers in their field experiences, supervising graduate theses, and maintaining active scholarly work in the field.
